   I thought I should introduce myself since I'm the most recent member of the pack.
   I stumbled across Andy accidentally just a week ago. I was thrilled to find out we both had come to the same conclusion about the need for a breed registry. We have both been researching and working on the same idea, yet had not yet met.

   I live in the SF Bay Area with my hubby John and our dog Oberon and 3 guinea pigs. We are both in our 40's and have been together for ten years. I'm currently in the process of opening an in-home pet care business. My older sister has a small homestead farm in Roseville, California called "Top Hill Farm" with her husband. In addition to her farm menagerie, she has our beloved Jenny. Oberon and Jenny are currently our foundation dogs. They have just become of age, were cleared of hips/eyes. We are expecting our first litter in May.

   I feel so blessed to have found this small group of pioneers who want to work together to preserve the ultimate underdogs.

   My background: I live with my wife, 2 teenage boys and 5 OTSC dogs on 5 acres in rural Oklahoma where I work from home designing websites for businesses all over the country.

   Before I found these dogs I had just about given up on dogs entirely after a lot of really dumb and disobedient dogs.

   Let me stress here what I have stressed to others many times before. I do not want this to be "Andy's project", I have taken the reigns because nobody else had done so. In the 15 years between the time McDuffie brought the last of the Allison dogs home until I began this project in early 2010 not much had happened to save these precious dogs. No registry, no club, no organization of any kind dedicated to their preservation, so I stepped up. But I am open to suggestions, input and help from others.

   Hi Everyone!

   I'm new to the group and don't know for sure what I'm doing, or where to post messages. I hope I'm doing this correctly...

   I grew up in South Western PA, where I still live, and we acquired a farm collie puppy when I was about three years old. I remember bringing her home in our car, and keeping her in the basement of our house for the first few days. She was a wonderful dog, and when she grew up had two litters of puppies every year - which was a delight for us kids! We would keep a few puppies, but most of them found homes with neighboring farmers. Since then I have had several more dogs that fit the Scottish farm collie description. I would like to own at least one again!

   I hope to soon post some photos and stories of my dogs of the past.

   I am very interested in preserving these dogs!

   Thanks for starting this wonderful way to connect with others who share this same interest!
