Sadie is a homesteader's dream farm collie. She likes order on the farm. She has a sharp eye to alert us to errant behavior by chickens, goats, or unexpected visitors. Once assured that newcomers are approved by us, she transforms to a relaxed, welcoming dog content to shake hands and be hugged and rolled about by youngsters. An endearing trait is her patrol within the house at night from person to person until everyone is in bed. It is only at that point that she will curl up on her pad and sleep.
