Help for Scotch Collie Pedigree Database

What is Scotch Collie Pedigree Database?

The Scotch Collie Pedigree Database is a tool to help track pedigrees of all farm collies type dogs and to record registrations of Old-Time Scotch Collies. Our goal is to collect as many farm collie pedigrees as possible, to help breeders in planning future litters and to help owners discover their pets ancestory.

How to start working with Scotch Collie Pedigree Database?

Begin by browsing the dogs in the database by clicking on the "Dogs" tab on the upper left of this screen. You can start by either

If you would like to contribute to the Scotch Collie Pedigree Database by adding or updating your own dogs, you will first need to create a user account. You can do so by clicking on the "register" button on the top right side of this screen

What IS supported?

Scotch Collie Pedigree Database is focused on dogs, their pedigrees and detail information. To be able to get in touch with breeders or owners of dogs, we also offer some management of breeders and owners.

For all users (including anonymous users) we offer the possibilities

  • to browse dogs
  • to browse persons
  • to search for dogs by name

For registered users we offer the ability to

  • to add new dogs
  • to update dogs
  • to add new persons (breeders or owners)
  • to update persons
  • to modify profile data

What dogs may be entered?

Any dog that falls into the broad "farm collie" type is welcome here, particularly those that have been previously unregistered through more established breed organizations. While we encourage you to register any dog that meets the standard as an Old-Time Scotch Collie, you are not obligated to do so by using this database.
