Puppies in Oklahoma

Grant’s Remember the Alamo Litter:

Grant’s Barbara Leininger and Grant’s The Flying Scotsman (Validus) had eight special pups on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026.  A 190 years earlier, the defenders of the Alamo fought for their lives and the future of Texas Feb. 23-March 6, 1836.  In honor of the men and women who fought for Texas and it’s freedoms, we have the Remember The Alamo Litter.

William Travis and James Bowie were the commenders of the Alamo.  David (Davy) Crockett and his followers of Kentucky joined as volunteers to defend the Alamo.  William Carey, not the missionary, was the First Texas Commander at the Alamo. At his own expense, he commanded an artillery company.  Albert Martin a Texas merchant and captain of the Gonzales Mounted Rangers, was sent by Travis to negotiate a honorable surrender prior to the battle for the Alamo.  Santa Anna refused honorable surrender to the Alamo.  Albert Martin was the currier who carried Travis’ famous letter, To the people of Texas and All Americans in the World, out and then returned to defend and die at the Alamo.  James Butler Bonham was a second cousin of Travis and also acted as a currier but still returned at the last to defend and ultimately give his life at the Alamo.

Three women who were present at the battle of the Alamo were Susanna Dickinson, Maria Gertrudis Navarro, and her sister Juana Navarro Alsbury.  Juana, a cousin by marriage to Bowie, nursed the sick Bowie in the days before the battle.  Juana was sent to Santa Anna in the first few days of March to try one last negotiation of surrender with Santa Anna, but Santa Anna would not accept the surrender of the Alamo.  After the defeat of the Alamo, Juana along with Susanna Dickinson were
released by Santa Anna and sent to warn other Texans not to resist Santa Anna.

There we have it.  Eight heroes of the Alamo:  Travis, Bowie, Crockett, Carey, Martin, Bonham, Maria, Juana, and Susanna.  Both parents of these pups named for the heroes of the Alamo have flawless Embark panels. There are no known hip issues.  We use both Neuro stimulation and
elements of Puppy Culture.  We let mother wean the pups naturally.  If you are wanting a hardworking, brave and true puppy, contact us through our website at www.scotchcollie.net or email us at 4scotchcollie@gmail.com
